Now for the exciting bit, the colour. The airbrushing goes quite quickly. The brushwork will take many days of painstaking work, a fine balance between tone, colour, positive and negative space, highlight and shadow and not to mentionthe carved surface to contend with too. I love this part as the work starts coming alive, the design and vision of the work hopefully gels together into one three dimensional visual journey. Hopefully illustrating the beauty of the subject and bringing the viewer an awareness and enjoyment of the natural world.
