The striking contrast of the red elephant and the grey trunks of the baobab trees has always stuck in my mind. The elephant dig into the relatively soft wood of the baobab to get at the moisture within. Size 220mm in diameter by 200mm in height. Timber bas-relief carved and pierced macrocarpa. Finish is Artists acrylics and lacquer. This piece is a commissioned piece.
