Some preparation work today for future fine art wildlife paintings. This is Belgium Linen being pre stretched on a large stretcher frame before priming with layers of size and a lead ground which is then mounted onto a composite panel to be as permanent as possible. The permanence of my work is very important to me.This is all done to best practice for a fine art oil painting as per advice from the experts using modern materials. Perhaps something interesting for you in the behind the scenes processes I use.
