I find I get to that stage in a painting without fail. After the learning lessons of process and technique along with surviving the messy stage, a few areas in the painting start to form into the vision I have. I can now start to see glimpses of the experience I am trying to portray, the excitement now starts to glow deep in my imagination. A small light in the darkness, nonetheless it lights the vision I have in my mind. The courage to continue this journey. A journey of sharing the beauty of the African wilderness through my artwork. A journey of conservation and love for wildlife. The hope that others may see this and enjoy my work and learnings too. Every piece of my artwork without doubt teaches me about myself and the subject too.
