Now for the detailed part of the carving. I have made progress with the third pass of the carving stage slowly bringing the imagery into focus with smaller carving bits. Here one of the three elephant around the vessel in various stages of being carved. It is a fine balance between carving and the final painting over the top. If I put too much detail in the carved stage it will disrupt the painting stage. Note the images are from different sources the more realistic coloration being the two similar pictures, the detail of the drawing stage of the elephant I took quickly with a smart phone camera and it isn’t nearly as true to colour as my main time lapse camera. Personally I prefer to not have the algorithmic interference in a photo as per some smart phones. I hope you all enjoy
