Some more progress. Images today showing stages of carving and painting. Slowly but surely this piece of work is developing into the piece of wildlife artwork that I wanted it to. Although it is quite different from a traditional oil painting I love the variety this work gives me. My approach to this carved artwork is still the same in that I aspire to excellence. Briefly, the carved vessel represents the fragility of our environment. The painting represents the beauty of wildlife and nature itself. I hope you enjoy.
